Wonderful capture Dan. This photo has a very clear message, and I like that.
The colors of the sunset are gorgeous, and the positioning of the sun is perfect as well, lining up with the figures. It looks like something from a book cover or postcard.
The next few things are just suggestions, as the photo is beautiful as it is. So don't take them as negatives.

If it were me, I would have tried to take the photo horizontally, because of the sunset, and because I generally prefer horizontal over vertical personally. I just really like to make use of my thirds is all.

And since I like my thirds, I would have liked to see them offset, however, this would have been very hard to do, given that part of the attraction is how the sun lines up with them perfectly.

The thing I would most like to see, however, is the land that divides the water removed. I believe it detracts from the two subjects of the photo, being the lovers, and the sun. But again, that's a personal preference, as I like clean and simple photos.

Overall though, great work! I was surprised and delighted to see this one in my messages! <img src="e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="=)" title="=) (Smile)" />
